she left me today......

i went out to see my sister and my mom... when i got back she said she was leaving... when i asked why, she said she was weirded out by my lack of trust.... i couldnt trust her,, so i hid things... its not her fault, its not like i was lying or anything, but i mean some shit, i just didnt tell her... i am so used to being called names, lectured and torn apart for being 100% honest, that now, i still am scared to let anyone completely in... now the best thing that ever happened to me is gone... she left and im not sure shes ever coming back... and iom not sure who to blame.. i mean its obviously my fault, but did the borg put a fear of trusting into my heart and soul?

i guess i cant blame anyone but myself... but at this point, im so torn and hurt that im not sure what to do... all i know is that what was finally having the semblance of family to me is now gone... the first time i was able to live with someone and love someone, albeiut with an ingrained sense of distrust, has disappeared, probably never to return..... .

this has broken me, i don't know what i will be doing with myself for the next couple of days... i feel almost dead inside... the infamous one.

Hey, I don't have a clue what is going on with you and your wife....

I, only, wish you the best. I sign a lot of my letters and posts "Yours in this Journey." I think we see a lot of peaks when we travel this life: the high places where the air is cold, you see far, and you are within a heartbeat of the Eternal.

Lots of times, though, especially for people like you that have the heart to feel the Hurt, man, it can be the foulest swamp and the darkest jungle on Earth. That is Journey: some of it just sucks.

I am glad you are here....in this place of understanding and empathy. We are drawn together by technology as far as a means of communicaton, however, the true "here" are persons of Commen History and Concern.

It seems you and this whole "God deal" are in a bit of turmoil. Despite that, be assuured of my prayers for you this night. From a distance, with the exception of this email "Hope you get well card" it is the best I can do.

How much control does the WTS really have?

a theme regularly running through ex-jw / apostate posts is their conviction that the worship of jws is at best of a high control basis or at worst exhibits cult-like tendencies , so they often delight in the freedom that they now enjoy.. but in reality , how much control is exhibited on the average witness?

to take one example , at least 40k are dfd in an average year , and one would assume 3 - 5x this figure are reproved privately or publicly.

that means that over a 10 year period 20% - 25% of jws are seriously flouting the strongest moral code of jws , usually for immorality , emphasized in wt after wt , meeting after meeting.

Here is a bit of a naughty comment: I have told it to a few JWs that have talked to me: forgive the graphic nature of the comment, please.

I told them the Elders, basically, "have you by the balls" and are threaterning to rip them out (by destroying your life) if you resist the GB.

My take was this: Go ahead and yank!!

I would rather be a free steer than a chained bull....but that is just me.

Yours on a free range and feeding well, (and, surprisingly, balls bigger than ever....)

I ponder on time with friends..

i have noted a loyalty to a fault with friends.

There is a time to move on....

During the intensity of exiting, I hooked up with a very interesting family while doing the remodel on my son's house so we could sell it (an eighteen month nightmare that lost money....) The hubby learned the basics of remodeling from me and can, now, tackle anything around his house. The wife gained a lot of experitse about managing a household from hints my wife left. (They are Roman Catholic....six kids and growing....) They let me spend a lot of time talking things out and challanging me on stupid comments I would make. It was a good mix...for a while.

Then, differences in family values, politics, and the like started becomming manifest. The hubby cursed my wife over an issue on the phone. That was that. I have said hi to him once (he stopped while I was loading my son's bike on our jeep) in the last eight months and do not plan on stopping by again. It is the way of things.

My family was good for them, they were good for me.

I, still, pray for them time to time and hope the best for them and thiers.

Wishing you well on your re-evaluation of the relationships that are worth the cost, hassle, and time that are the needed ingrediants of mutually beneficial relationships. The average person can handle about three friend ships, several work and neighbor buddies, and a host of folks like the ones on the board.

Life is good.....

Just watching my daughter's High School video yearbook with her . . .

and thinking how normal they all look and act - having all kinds of worldly fun, very unself-consciously.

my daughter is so happy with getting a copy of the video yearbook from her digital video prodcutions class at a discount .

it's cool to actually see her participating in all the wacky events she spent hours throughout the school year preparing for the night or week before: the school spirit week, tacky day, the prom; the many friends and social events.

I rejoice that your daughter had the opportunity to have a somewhat "normal" life. Our kids did not. The folks that got out early enough for thier children to be raised with the chance of education, recreation, and a future detached from this destructive, morbid, depressing, dead end cult with very fortunate.

I damn the arrogance and selfishness of the Presidents and GB that created the enviroment my children were raised in. I have some great kids. If they had had the opportunities to truely develope outside this cult.....no telling the results.....

The Elders in Monett, MO wanted me to lie as a pledge of loyalty.

Clean break: forty years went down the tube in one forty minute conversation.

Funny how those situations work.....

I called and said they were passing out "this paper thing about religion being bad and part of it had to do with bad religious people hurting kids."

They transfered me.

I told them why I thought they were a bunch of hyper-crits. The guy did not even know about the recent settlement. I challanged him to call the legal department.

What does this accomplish?

I got to vent.

Whew.....feel a lot better....now I will finsih the dishes.

(Yeah, I got this idea from other posts.....as one poster said when I posted something a bit naughty: 'Bad association, Vernon, bad association.......)

No, they will NOT ditch the eathly hope: they will, simply, bring ALL JWs within the New Covenant. Since ALL the tribes of Israel were under the Mosaic Covenant, so ALL the tribes in Revalation will be under the New Covenant. And, as one group, the Levites had a special privlege, so will the 144,00.

So, as all partook of Passover, so all will partake of the Lord's Meal.

This will bring all within equel footing, now. It will apply all the NT to everyone, except a few specific passages.

It will solve a lot of problems. Few will be lost. Most, the majority, will rejoice.

The '35 deal was just an odd angle into this whole deal. It is comming....

How Do You Let Go Of Your Guilt?

as witnesses, you are trained to feel guilty.

i don't know if i'm rare regarding my guiltless feelings but i have not had any guilt whatsoever after leaving the witnesses.

not even a little bit.....what about you?

Guilt was never a motivater with me. Within the JWs, I guess that made me a type of Spiritaul Pervert. I did feel a huge amount of honor and responsibility. I consider them diferent things.

Newbie needs a favour
